The 1996 continental champions will, however, open the tournament at Johannesburg's FNB Stadium on January 19.

They will play their other Group A games at Moses Mabhida Stadium on January 23 and 27 according to a preliminary schedule.

Should Gordon Igesund's men top their pool they will stay in eThekwini. If they finish second they will contest the quarter-finals at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

PE will host Group B; Nelspruit Group C and Rustenburg Group D. Each city will stage a last-eight tie, with the semi-final venues to be announced on February 10.

The teams that will join Bafana at the event will be decided by mid-October.
