Bafana suffer setback

Johannesburg - The Orlando Pirates duo of Oupa Manyisa and Siyabonga Sangweni have been withdrawn from the national soccer squad to face Zambia in the Nelson Mandela Challenge at Soccer City on Wednesday. Kickoff is at 8pm.

Defender Sangweni missed his club's league clash against Free State Stars on Saturday, after he was withdrawn from the starting line-up following complaints of a knee pain during the warm-up session, while midfielder Manyisa was substituted in the same match after sustaining a thigh injury in the second half.

Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund has called up Kaizer Chiefs defender Siboniso Gaxa, and Manyisa will not be replaced as the coach believes he has enough cover in the midfield.
