Speaking to SAFA media, Patosi made it clear that he is happy to remain at Lokeren for some time yet but confirmed a desire to link up with Thulani Serero at Ajax Amsterdam.
"For now I am contracted to Lokeren FC in Belgium
and my focus is there, and I have to respect that." said Patosi.
But the 22-year-old midfielder confirmed his ambitions of playing in a higher league. He added: "But obviously I would
someday like to play in the higher leagues around the world.
"Hopefully someday
I will get a chance to go play somewhere."
Before suggesting that move to Ajax is at the top of his "transfer wishlist", Patosi stressed that he is enjoying himself at Lokeren.
"I need to make it clear that I am happy at
Lokeren and enjoying myself, but if sometime in the future an offer comes from
Ajax Amsterdam I will not look back."
"That is the club I would someday like to
play for and only time will tell."
Patosi joined Lokeren in 2011 but has endured a difficult season 2014/15 under coach Peter Maes.
Maes blasted the Cape Town-born player earlier in the season slamming the player's perceived lack of professionalism.
"It remains a mental problem with Ayanda," Maes told Voetbalkrant at the time.
"He knows he has to fight against his body, he has to train hard to maintain his weight but he still does not.
"He has sinned a lot and does not live for his sport. There is a lot of competition. Talent he has enough of, but he is unable to lead a structured life."
Patosi has scored 3 league goals in 20 appearances for Lokeren this season.
The attack-minded player featured for the Belgian club on three occasions in the club's Europa league campaign, he found the net once.
