Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana boss Pitso Mosimane will breathe a sigh of relief with the news that goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs has been handed a clean bill of health ahead of their tie against Sierra Leone.
'Slim Kat' withdrew from training on Tuesday morning after a health scare in which he revealed he was experiencing "dizzy" spells.
The Orlando Pirates stopper, who suffers from asthma, underwent tests with team doctor Ephraim Nematswerani on Tuesday afternoon and the Bafana physician has now cleared him to travel to Freetown on Friday.
"He is okay now and there was nothing untoward after all," Nematswerani told Business Day.
"I could not find anything wrong with him and I am starting to think that perhaps it was something he ate during breakfast.
"He returned to training and joined the rest of his team-mates in the afternoon. It is going to be difficult in Sierra Leone and we need all our players to be at their best."
With Tsepo Masilela, Andile Jali and skipper Aaron Mokoena all in a race to be fit for the 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier, the medical team is hard at work trying to prepare a full-strength side for the gruelling encounter.
Nematswerani made the journey the last time Bafana travelled to Sierra Leone when they went down 1-0 in 2008 and he has warned the South African players of the hazards.
"I had a talk with the players and I tried to give them an idea of what to expect in Freetown.
"The conditions are very different to what some of them are used to at home and I tried to give those who are new to the team an idea of life on the road on the continent."
