Johannesburg - Daine Klate has expressed his delight at making a return to the Bafana Bafana fold following the victory over Ghana.
The Orlando Pirates star was overlooked for the World Cup in South Africa, but was recalled to the national team after Pitso Mosimane made the transition from assistant coach to the man in the hotseat.
Klate, who joined Bucs from league champions SuperSport United in the off-season, came on as a late second-half substitute in the 1-0 win over the Black Stars.
And the winger was not only pleased to have played, he was delighted to once again be under the tutelage of Mosimane, who mentored him in his early days at Matsatsantsa.
"It feels good. I'm happy to be back especially after missing out on the World Cup. It's pretty exciting," he said.
"It is absolutely great to see coach Pitso in charge, this is an inspiration to us as players after having worked with him at club level."
Klate has already revealed he plans to give Siphiwe Tshabalala stiff competition for a starting spot on the left flank, as he has already made that position his own at Pirates.
