Bafana out to impress South Americans

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba says the current crop of players are looking to leave a lasting impression in South America.

According to KickOff, Mashaba admits that the South African squad is excited about the two international friendlies.

"We are excited to be here and have heard that Costa Rica have named their most possible powerful squad but I am glad because my boys always relishes playing against the world’s giants," Mashaba said on the team's arrival in San Jose.

“I have brought a very exciting group of players who are eager to leave a lasting impression on this continent and come Thursday, fans should be in for a real treat."

South Africa take on Costa Rica on Thursday, October 8 in San Jose at the Estadio Nacional.

Kick-off is at 04:00 SA time on Friday, October 9.

Five days later, Bafana Bafana clash against Honduras at the Metropolitano Stadium in San Pedro Sula.
