Johannesburg - A FIFA investigation into match-fixing is to include Soccer World Cup warm-up matches played by Bafana Bafana, reports Timeslive.
The Sunday Sun reported that investigators would focus on two games SA played before hosting the 2010 Soccer World Cup - their 5-0 victory over Guatemala on May 31 and their 2-1 victory over Colombia on May 27.
FIFA are looking into the activities of Niger referee Ibrahim Chaibou, who recently handled the match where Nigeria trounced Argentina 4-1.
Chaibou also refereed the game against Guatemala, a record victory margin for Bafana.
The report said FIFA also wanted to learn how Chaibou came to referee a match in South Africa and who had arranged for him to be invited.
