Cape Town - Coach Stuart Baxter and his charges have failed to impress at the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament with only one victory in their three Group D matches.

Starting their campaign off with a 1-0 defeat against the Ivory Coast, Bafana bounced back with a 1-0 win over Namibia.

However, South Africa then suffered another 1-0 setback against Morocco courtesy of a 90th-minute strike from M'bark Boussoufa.

It was after that second defeat in particular that fans began to share their grievances.

Sport24 ran TWO polls - on Twitter and Facebook - which each receiving a number of votes.

We asked our readers: ‘What did you make of Bafana Bafana's performance against Morocco?’

Bafana have an opportunity to change the perception of their fans as they have another chance to prove themselves worthy of competing with the best on the continent.

Following Tuesday night's results, Bafana scraped through to the last 16 as the WORST of the top four third-placed teams along with Guinea, DR Congo and Benin.

South Africa now have the mammoth task of playing tournament favourites and host nation Egypt on Saturday, July 6.

Kick-off is at 21:00 (SA time).
