Cape Town - Bafana Bafana fans are turning their backs on the national side, predicting an AFCON defeat against Ghana and a subsequent plane trip home.

Kick-off is at 20:00 SA time.

Bafana, who went down 3-1 to Algeria in their opening match and then follow that up with a 1-1 draw against Senegal, face the possibility of being eliminated from the tournament even if they beat Ghana.

Should Algeria beat Ghana in Friday's earlier Group C match (which they are favoured to do), and Senegal build on their 2-1 win over Ghana and emerge victorious against Bafana, then Shakes Mashaba's troops will be out of contention for African glory.

In a poll on the Sport24 website, when asked "How will they fare against the Black Stars?" some 52% responded "Bafana going home, Ghana will win...".

There are some die-hard Bafana Bafana supporters out there as 31% believe South Africa will beat the Black Stars.

17% of the votes were cast in favour of a draw against Ghana, a result which may be good enough for Ghana to progress but which will see South Africa eliminated from the competition.

Bafana Bafana starting XI:

Brilliant Khuzwayo (GK), Anele Ngcongca, Thabo Matlaba, Rivaldo Coetzee, Eric Mathoho, Dean Furman (C), Andile Jali, Mandla Masango, Thuso Phala, Tokelo Rantie, Bongani Ndulula.
