Cape Town - Togo's star player Emmanuel Adebayor, back in that country after his team left the African Cup of Nations after two people from their delegation died in an ambush in Angola last week, ruffled feathers by giving an interview to local television wearing his old club Arsenal’s shirt.
According to the Daily Mail, Adebayor, who never enjoyed great popularity during his time at the Gunners and left for newly-rich Manchester City for 25 million pounds in the summer, probably didn’t mean to indicate any unhappiness at his new club, but this gaffe won’t please his boss Roberto Mancini, who was quoted in the press saying that he will give his striker as much time as he needs to recover from the emotional distress before playing again in the English Premiership.
