Willie le Roux to join Jake White in Japan

Cape Town - Japanese club Toyota Verblitz, coached by former Springbok boss Jake White, have announced the signing of Willie Le Roux from London Wasps.

The 29-year-old Springbok fullback will join the club following the completion of this year's Rugby World Cup, which will also be hosted in Japan in September and October.

Le Roux, who has played 53 Test matches for the Springboks, will almost certainly wear the No 15 jersey for the Boks at the global showpiece.

Now 29-years-old, Le Roux has been at Wasps since 2017 when he left Durban after spending just one season with the Sharks.

He does have previous experience in Japan having represented the Canon Eagles from 2015 through to 2017.
