Cape Town - All Black star Sonny Bill Williams has posted video footage of himself immediately after undergoing knee surgery, and it is hilarious!
Williams has been ruled out of New Zealand's upcoming series against France as a result of the injury.
The Blues confirmed that Williams had aggravated an old injury and that x-rays revealed a loose piece of bone in his knee.
The result was surgery on Friday, and the 32-year-old was on his phone filming himself immediately after waking up from his operation.
Still clearly a little out of it, Williams was in 'high' spirits as he game all of the nurses in the ward a heart-felt performance of All-4-One's I Swear.
By the time SBW was done singing, there was one lonely soul left in the room ... perhaps a sign that he should stick to hard running and silky offloads.
Williams posted the footage to his Twitter page, where he also thanked the nurses and hospital staff for putting up with him.
Okay team- here it is. I just want 2 reiterate again that the meds they give you for surgery are very strong and take a while 2 wear off...but I also feel like the staff took advantage of me (I’m joking ??) thanks 2 the nurses/staff for putting up with me haha!
