WATCH | Former France fullback gives South Africans lockdown tips

South African-born former France fullback, Scott Spedding, has been in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic in his adopted country for over a week, according to the RugbyRocks website.

Below, he gives all South Africans - who will be facing a 21-day lockdown of their own from midnight on Thursday, 26 March until Thursday, 16 April - tips on how to cope.

Spedding, 33, played a single Super Rugby match for the Sharks, before heading to Brive in France. He'd go on to represent Bayonne and Clermont as well as earn 23 caps for the Tricolours before hanging up his boots in 2019.

As of Thursday morning, France has confirmed a staggering 25 233 coronavirus cases, with 1 331 fatalities.
