WATCH | 2019 Rugby World Cup kicks off in 1 month

Cape Town - It's exactly one month - or 31 days - until the 2019 Rugby World Cup kicks off in Japan.

Friday, September 20 will see hosts Japan take on Russia in their Pool A opening match at the Tokyo Stadium at 12:45 SA time.

The tournament will be the ninth World Cup to date.

New Zealand boast three victories, South Africa and Australia have tasted success on two occasions, while England famously triumphed in 2003.

The Springboks will open their 2019 campaign with a mouth-watering clash against the All Blacks in Yokohama on Saturday, September 21 at 11:45 SA time.
