Wallaby to join Bordeaux-Begles

Bordeaux - Australian lock Luke Jones will leave Melbourne Reds at the end of the Super 18 season to join Bordeaux-Begles on a two-year deal, the Top 14 outfit announced Tuesday.

Jones, 24, has been capped three times by the Wallabies and featured in Michael Cheika's pre-World Cup preparatory squad.

Jones will team up with two other Wallabies in centre Adam Ashley-Cooper and prop Sekope Kepu at Bordeaux, coached by former France hooker Raphael Ibanez.

The Australian forward becomes Ibanez's fourth recruit for next season following the signings of La Rochelle scrum-half Julien Audy, Leinster's Ireland international fly-half Ian Madigan and Sale's Moldovan prop Vadim Cobilas.
