VIDEO: Aplon dazzles with terrific solo try

Cape Town - Former Springbok fullback Gio Aplon proved over the weekend he’s still got what it takes to dazzle running rugby enthusiasts.

The former Stormers back, now 33, currently plies his trade at French club Grenoble in the Top 14.

Grenoble lost 53-14 at home to Toulouse at the weekend, but Aplon caught the eye with a brilliant solo try.

Aplon got the ball inside his own half, before gliding through defenders in trademark fashion, reminding fans what Super Rugby has been missing out on since he left in 2014.

Aplon played 17 Tests for the Springboks between 2010 and 2012.
