Venter to lead Cheetahs in Super Rugby

Cape Town - Midfielder Francois Venter will captain the Cheetahs in the 2016 Super Rugby competition, the Bloemfontein-based franchise announced over the weekend.

The 24-year-old centre, who has 32 Super Rugby caps, takes over the captaincy from Francois Uys.

The Cheetahs start their Super Rugby campaign at home against the Jaguares from Argentina on Friday, February 26.
