Teenage wing 'well' following horror KO

Clermont-Ferrand - Teenage wing Samuel Ezeala is "doing very well" following his shocking KO last Sunday, his Clermont coach Franck Azema said on Thursday.

The 18-year-old Spaniard was knocked unconscious in a brutal collision with Racing 92's Fiji-born France international wing Virimi Vakatawa and spent two days in hospital.

"He's doing very well, he went home on Tuesday night so it's fine," said Azema.

Ezeala was knocked out just before the hour mark of his side's 58-6 thrashing by Racing in what was his senior debut.

He got his head the wrong side when trying to tackle Vakatawa and was knocked out by his opposite number's forearm.

He remained motionless on the ground for some time before being covered with a white sheet and carried from the pitch on a stretcher.

Hospital tests on Monday had shown "nothing to worry about", Clermont had said on Twitter earlier in the week.
