Toulon - Springboks lock Juandre Kruger, who had been expected to leave Racing 92 for Sale in England, decided on Wednesday to remain in France and join Toulon, the club's president Mourad Boudjellal told AFP.

The 30-year-old Kruger, who has 17 caps, played for Northampton for a number of seasons before returning to South Africa to play for Blue Bulls.

He signed for Racing at the start of the 2013 season.
