Cape Town - SA Rugby is reportedly set to meet with the South African Human Rights Commission after an alleged racial incident that occurred during the Springboks v All Blacks Test at Loftus Versfeld last year.
According TimesLIVE, a group of black Springbok fans, who were dressed in the commemorative red Springbok jersey, were ridiculed as members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) political party.
The group was also allegedly referred to as baboons and had a banana thrown in their direction.
The report further states that a letter was sent to SA Rugby by advocate Lunga Soyi concerning the protocols dealing with racial abuse in October last year, but the governing body only responded on January 17.
In response, SA Rugby CEO Jurie Roux said they would be happy to meet the commission this week.
The All Blacks won the Test 32-30 after hauling in a 30-13 deficit late in the second half.
