Cape Town - South African golfing legend Ernie Els on Monday paid a visit to the Lions as the men from Johannesburg prepare for the Super Rugby season.

Els, who played in the SA Open at Glendower Golf Club last week, is in Johannesburg where he will play the Joburg Open from Thursday.

Els, who has won four golf majors, gave a short motivational talk and wished the Lions well for the upcoming season.

The Lions start their Super Rugby campaign with an away game against the Sunwolves from Japan on Saturday, February 27.
