Cape Town - South African-born Ireland and Munster star, CJ Stander, and his wife Jean-Marie have welcomed their first child.
Jean-Marie, who is the sister of South African swimming great Ryk Neethling, gave birth to a baby girl on Friday.
Posting a black and white photo of their newborn’s feet, CJ wrote:“We can only dream where these tiny feet will go in her lifetime. Our only hope is that they never forget the way home.”
CJ Stander, 29, revealed they called their baby Everli, and added: “@jmneethling is a legend and doing great. Looking forward to taking my girls home soon.”
Stander also poked fun at his new protective dad status, as he added the hashtag “#shotgunsloaded.”
The Standers have been together since 2001 and tied the knot in 2013.
Stander played 16 Super Rugby matches for the Bulls before heading to Ireland in 2012 where he has gone on to pick up 31 Test caps for his adopted country.
