No complaints from All Blacks over hearings

Paris - New Zealand assistant coach Ian Foster has no issue with Malakai Fekitoa's suspension or that Sam Cane was cited after their 21-9 win over Ireland.

Fekitoa will miss this weekend's match against France as a result of his one-match ban, while Cane is free to play after his hearing regarding a dangerous tackle was dismissed.

"We presented our case, and think we got a fair hearing," Foster told the website.

"Whilst we are disappointed with Malakai (and his ban), he admitted that he went high and it was pretty clear and obvious that he did.

"They ruled there was no intention but there was no doubt about where it hit, and we accept that. It was the same with Sam, really. It was a collision that went wrong more than anything.

"While it was unfortunate there was an injury, that is the nature of the game."

Cane's clash with Robbie Henshaw has caused uproar in Ireland, given that the Ireland centre was seriously injured.

"The game officials dealt with it well, the citing commissioner deemed otherwise and that is the nature of the process," Foster added.

"We have no qualms with that, if you have to answer to a case it is good to be able to get there and get a fair hearing. In our opinion it is the right result.

"Whilst there has been a bit of noise around the scenes about it, I think a lot of that is emotional. It is nice to be able to sit down in a factual setting and work through it."

Saturday's Test against France will be New Zealand's final one of the year.
