New black, red and pink kit for Bulls

Cape Town - Three new Super Rugby kits have been unveiled by South African Super Rugby franchise, the Bulls.

According to PUMA, the official technical and apparel partner of the Bulls, the hit is inspired by the stars.

Nicknamed the Stellar Kit, the 2016 season sees the introduction of a signature black kit - brought to life with an orange and red ombrè effect across the front of the jersey, a traditional blue kit and a re-appearance of the popular pink kit.

The Bulls will take to the field in the specially designed pink kit for one of their home games to show their support of CANSA (Cancer Association of South Africa) and those persevering in the fight against cancer.

PUMA South Africa’s Marketing Director, Brett Bellinger, says there is something for everyone in the new kits which feature a Bull imprinted across the front with reflective material embellishments.

“The new black kit takes inspiration from the star-filled night sky, which is fitting for the Bulls - the stars in their own right, and makes for a great signature kit. The blue kit is for the traditional Bulls supporter and the return of the hugely successful pink kit is available in a ladies cut only - with exception of the team who will wear the kit in support of CANSA,” Bellinger says.

Barend van Graan, CEO of the Blue Bulls Company, is impressed by the new kit: “Our partners at PUMA have once again exceeded our expectations in producing yet another amazing series of kits for our Super Rugby season. We are truly privileged to be associated with a brand that works tirelessly to make the Bulls a real trendsetter in world rugby. The players, our stars, are extremely excited to don the new kit, and I believe our fans will be just as excited.”

The new Super Rugby shirt will be available at PUMA stores as well as select retailers nationwide from December 4, 2015 with a recommended retail price of R749.
