Cape Town - Gemma and Richie McCaw have released a photo of their first daughter, Charlotte.
According to the Stuff website, former All Blacks captain Richie McCaw is holding his daughter in the photograph, posted on former Black Sticks hockey star Gemma McCaw's Instagram account on Tuesday.
Charlotte is looking up at mum, with a Christmas tree as the backdrop.
"Happy new year from our family to yours - 2018 was a very special year for us with the safe arrival of our beautiful baby girl," Gemma McCaw wrote.
"Wishing everyone an abundance of health and happiness for the year ahead."
Gemma McCaw played 246 matches for New Zealand and scored 71 goals after making her international hockey debut in 2008.
Richie McCaw played a record 148 Tests for the All Blacks and is the most capped rugby player of all time. Of those 148 Tests, McCaw was on the winning side a staggering 131 times (88.5%), with only 15 defeats and 2 draws.
