Paris - Second-row George Kruis will miss the remainder of England's November Test matches with a calf injury suffered in the 16-15 defeat to New Zealand, England Rugby announced on Tuesday.
Kruis, a 28-time international, was replaced by Charlie Ewels in the 66th minute of Saturday's loss at Twickenham and will not play any part in the remaining autumn internationals against Japan and Australia.
Ewels, Maro Itoje, Elliott Stooke and Courtney Lawes are the locks included in an original 30-man squad for the visit of Jamie Joseph's Japan side.
There are minor doubts over co-captain Dylan Hartley and centre Manu Tuilagi, who are nursing thumb and groin issues.
Fullback Mike Brown is overlooked by Eddie Jones once more after not featuring in the fixtures against South Africa and the All Blacks.
Jones names his team to face the side he coached at the 2015 World Cup on Thursday.
