Jaguares trim squad ahead of Lions duel

Cape Town - The Jaguares have released a few players from their squad ahead of their warm-up match against the Lions in Johannesburg on Friday (19:00 kick-off).

They include flanks Juan Manuel Leguizamón and Tomás Lezana, prop Cristian Bartoloni, hookers Ignacio Larrague and Santiago Iglesias Valdez, centre Gabriel Ascárate and fullback Tomás Carrió.

The squad has therefore been reduced to just 27 players following the Jaguares' 29-14 loss to the Stormers last weekend.

The Jaguares open their Super Rugby campaign against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Friday, February 26.
