Itoje in doubt for November Tests

Cape Town - England are sweating on the fitness of Maro Itoje after the Saracens lock injured his hand in the Champions Cup game against Scarlets on Saturday.

Itoje has had an x-ray after he injured his hand at Allianz Park after his arm was caught in a tackle shortly after half-time, with the club's medical staff immediately determining that to be the end of Itoje's game against the Welsh region.

A fracure would rule the 21-year-old out of England's November Test schedule in which they will face both South Africa and Australia.

"Maro came off with a sore hand," said the Saracens director of rugby, Mark McCall.

"He will be examined after which we will know more.
