Hole-in-one for Hansen!

Cape Town - All Blacks coach Steve Hansen recorded his first hole-in-one at the Wanaka Golf Club this week.

"Congratulations to Steve Hansen on scoring a hole-in-one on No 13 on Wednesday, January 23," the club's newsletter entry read.

According to the Stuff website, the 59-year-old told the newsletter that it was his first hole-in-one and that he used a six-iron to ace the 170m par-3.

After completing his round, Hansen abided the time-honoured tradition of buying a round of drinks.

Hansen is preparing to start his final season as All Blacks coach after deciding to step down after the 2019 Rugby World Cup tournament in Japan.

Hansen has a staggering record at the helm of the world champion All Blacks, having lost just eight of the 95 matches he's overseen since taking charge in 2012.
