Begles - Former Maori All Black flank Luke Braid has left Bordeaux-Begles six months before his contract was up for personal reasons, the Top 14 club announced on Wednesday.
Braid, World Rugby's junior player of the year in 2008 after captaining the New Zealand under-20 side that won the junior World Championship that year, joined Bordeaux-Begles in 2015.
The former Blues player, 30, starred during his first two seasons in France before a nagging foot injury saw him play only two games last season.
Since August, Braid has started just five games, two in the Top 14 and three in the European Challenge Cup.
