Ex-Bok accused of attempted murder

Cape Town - A case of attempted murder has been opened against a former Springbok rugby player, who is accused by a former employee of knocking him over with a quad bike.

According to IOL.co.za, Johannes Bitterbos lodged the charge over the weekend, with police confirming that a case of attempted murder has been opened.

Bitterbos worked on the ex-Springbok’s wine farm in the Western Cape, but was fired three years ago. He has continued to live on the farm.

Bitterbos reportedly fell to the ground after he was knocked down.

He claimed he would have been driven over again but managed to roll out of the way.

The former Springbok was not named by IOL.
