EP U21 hits rock-bottom after 173-0 mauling by WP

Cape Town - Just when Eastern Province rugby fans thought things couldn't get any worse ... they did!

READ: EP rugby results BEFORE this weekend...

The EP Under-21 side had already lost all four of their matches this season when they welcomed Western Province to the Despatch Rugby Club on Friday.

And things turned ugly as the men from the Cape ran in a staggering 27 tries - 19 of which were converted - in winning 173-0!

That's 173 points in 80 minutes ...

The EP Under-21 side have now conceded 610 points in their five matches this season (an average of 122 per match) and have scored a paltry 27.

WP Under-21 meanwhile did their points differential no harm in moving up to second spot in the standings.

No prizes for guessing where EP Under-21 find themselves...
