Dan Carter ruled out of European Cup final

Bilbao - Dan Carter will play no part in the European Champions Club final between his side Racing 92 and Leinster because of a hamstring injury, organisers said Saturday.

The former All Black had been expected to start on the substitutes' bench in the final in Bilbao which would have been his last match before ending his stay in Europe.

The 36-year racked up a world record 1,598 points in 112 Tests for New Zealand, with a winning percentage of 88.4 percent.

He joined big-money French side Racing in 2015 and is leaving to play for Kobe Steelers in Japan.
