Hong Kong - All Blacks superstar Dan Carter's Racing 92 will face the Highlanders in Hong Kong in a "unique" north against south fixture in February, organisers said on Wednesday.
The world player of the year, fresh from New Zealand's Rugby World Cup triumph, will lead his new French club against the southern hemisphere champions in the one-off game.
Racing 92 will be playing in Hong Kong for the third time in three seasons, while the Highlanders, the reigning Super Rugby champions, will be playing in Asia for the first time.
"We are excited to be meeting Super Rugby champions Highlanders and are confident that rugby and sporting fans worldwide will be riveted by this unique north-south match-up," Racing CEO Arnaud Tourtoulou said in a statement.
Carter will face All Blacks team-mates including scrumhalf Aaron Smith in the fixture, after he quit New Zealand to join Racing 92 following the World Cup.
