Cape Town - Springbok scrumhalf Faf de Klerk scooped the top prizes at his English club’s annual awards ceremony.
De Klerk, who plays for Sale Sharks, received the club’s Player of the Year award for the 2017/18 season, while he was also voted as the Fans Player of the Season.
The 26-year-old joined Sale from the Lions 2017.
He played 11 Tests for the Springboks in 2016 but was not picked in 2017.
However, his recent resurgence in form is likely to see him earn a recall to the national team.
Sport24 understands that new Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus is eager to include De Klerk in his plans for the 2018 international season.
Just a massive thank you for all the fans and Sale Sharks supporters club for awarding me with these!! It is a real privilege and honour??#allpowerfromGod #blessed #thanful @SaleSharksSC @SaleRugbyNews pic.twitter.com/unZNLMJVlR
