Bok prop to leave Leicester

Cape Town - Springbok tighthead prop Pat Cilliers has agreed a move to London Irish for the 2018/19 season as his departure from Leicester is confirmed.

Cilliers, 31, made 26 appearances for Leicester Tigers in two seasons at the club.

Irish, who will play in the RFU Championship next season after being relegated from the Premiership last season, confirmed the arrival of Cilliers on Tuesday.

Their director of rugby Declan Kidney said: “The Championship is a tough league and we need experienced forwards in our squad to meet the challenges in front of us.

“Pat fits the bill – he’s played at the top level of the sport for a number of years and will be a good signing for us.”

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
