Blackadder, Matson on Bath's radar?

Cape Town - Bath are reportedly negotiating with Crusaders boss Todd Blackadder and his assistant Tabai Matson about taking over the coaching reins at the club.

According to a Bath Chronicle report, the duo are wanted to replace Bath's departed coaches Mike Ford and Neal Hatley with Blackadder slotting in to the director of rugby role and Matson taking over as head coach.

Bath's managing director Tarquin McDonald and retired captain Stuart Hooper - who will have a wide-ranging role at the Premiership club during the 2016/17 season - reportedly travelled to New Zealand last week for face-to-face discussions.

Blackadder is finishing his eight-year stint as head coach with the Crusaders at the end of their current campaign. Matson joined the seven-time Super Rugby champions as an assistant three years ago.
