Aussie flank Gill joins Lyon from Toulon

Lyon - Top 14 outfit Lyon have signed Australian flank Liam Gill from Toulon on a one-year deal with an option to extend a further season, his new club said on Wednesday.

Having only joined the French south coast club Toulon last season from Queensland Reds, pundits regularly handed out rave reviews for the 25-year-old, so the signing is seen as a coup for Lyon.

The Australia international is the 14th new recruit for Lyon, who came 10th in the French top flight last season.
