No citing against McCaw

Cape Town - All Black skipper Richie McCaw has not been cited for an alleged use of the elbow on Springbok flank Francois Louw.

Various media outlets reported on Sunday morning that McCaw may be cited for felling Louw early in the match.

Video footage posted online shows McCaw charging into a ruck after 20 minutes and Louw reeling from a blow as the New Zealand captain brushed past in pursuit of the ball.

Other images shown later made it look as though Louw was hit by McCaw's hip. McCaw is looking straight ahead at the time of the incident as he chases Damian de Allende, who has the ball, around the back of a ruck.

World Rugby confirmed on Sunday that there would be no action against McCaw and that he had not been cited, leaving him free to face Australia in the final at Twickenham this Saturday.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
