Los Pumas run riot against Georgia

Cape Town - Argentina on Friday thrashed Georgia 54-9 in their Pool C Rugby World Cup clash at Kingsholm in Gloucester.

As it happened: Argentina v Georgia

The Pumas ran in seven unanswered tries to also secure a vital bonus-point.

Georgia were in the game at half-time, trailing only 14-9, but when they lost skipper Mamuka Gorgodze early in the second half due to a yellow card, the Argentines took control.

They scored 21 unanswered points in Gorgodze’s absence and when he returned the game was lost as a contest.

Los Pumas’ next match is against Tonga in Leicester on October 4, while Georgia next face the All Blacks in Cardiff on October 23.
