London - Craig Joubert's controversial last-minute decision to award Australia a match-winning penalty against Scotland robbed 'Richie the Macaw' of a clean sweep of Rugby World Cup predictions.

'Richie the Macaw' was a perfect 3-from-3 heading into last Sunday's final quarter-final between the Wallabies and Scots at Twickenham.
'Richie' had predicted an upset victory for Scotland - and was oh-so-close to being correct - but was denied by South African referee Joubert's incorrect decision to award Australia a late penalty for offsides - which flyhalf Bernard Foley duly stepped up to turn into three points and give the Wallabies a 35-34 victory.
Earlier, 'Richie' had corrected backed the Springboks to beat Wales (which they did 23-19), the All Blacks to beat France (62-19) and Argentina to upset Ireland (43-20).
The NZ Herald's 2-year-old green-winged parrot pundit didn't take Joubert's decision well, 'tweeting' "I'm not one to blame referees, but Scotland were destined to win that game. It's dangerous to mess with destiny, Craig Joubert."
