Irish ref for Boks v Pumas

Cape Town - Ireland’s John Lacey has been appointed as referee of the Rugby World Cup’s Bronze Final between South Africa and Argentina.

The match is scheduled for London’s Olympic Park at 22:00 (SA time) on Friday.

Lacey’s assistant referees will be Glen Jackson and Chris Pollock, both from New Zealand, while Graham Hughes of England will be the Television Match Official (TMO).

Welshman Nigel Owens will referee Saturday’s final between New Zealand and Australia at Twickenham (18:00 SA time).

Owens will be joined on the line by Jerome Garces of France and England’s Wayne Barnes, with Shaun Veldsman of South Africa the TMO.
