Cape Town - Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth was left fuming on Tuesday after a Kiwi journalist compared him to English comedy actor Sacha Baron Cohen.
According to the Wales Online website, Kiwi scribe James McOnie incensed the Bok lock when he asked him if he had a nickname, implying he looked like the 'Borat' character that Cohen played in a movie of the same name.
“Eben, has anybody ever told you that you look like Borat? I mean, is that your nickname, Borat?” McOnie asked at a press conference in Bagshot where the Boks have 'inherited' knocked-out hosts England's Pennyhill Park training base.
The journalist is reportedly known for his more offbeat reports and questions.
Etzebeth remained stony-faced and replied: "No."
The phrase ‘stupid question’ could be heard from the top table and Etzebeth was seen gesticulating as he left the room.
The Boks tackle Wales in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals at Twickenham on Saturday (17:00 SA time).
