Clinical Ireland see off Romania

Cape Town - Ireland produced a clinical display of rugby to see off the threat posed by Romania at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

Irish wings Tommy Bowe and Keith Earls each scored two tries as Ireland ran out 44-10 victors.

As it happened: Ireland 44-10 Romania

The Irish led 18-3 at the break.

Ireland were made to work hard throughout the contest but remained patient as they ran in a total of six tries.

The Irish backline were fed consistently quick ball as their forwards laid a solid platform up front.

Simon Zebo was particularly impressive and played a key part in several of the Irish tries.

Romania managed to score a consolation try through lock Ovidiu Tonita.
