Butch expecting Bok v Wales QF

Durban - Butch James watched the Wales v Fiji game closely on Thursday night, and he expects Warren Gatland's men to be tough opposition for the Springboks should they meet in the quarter-finals of the tournament.

The Boks will be expected to top Pool B should they defeat Scotland on Saturday, and they will then play the runners-up in Pool A in the quarters. That could very well be the Welsh, who are yet to play Australia but have already beaten England in the group stages.

"They (Wales) did well to hold out there. The Fijians played some good rugby and got their tail up at one stage," James said of Wales' 23-13 win via his Twitter account on Friday.

"I think all of their injuries and all of the trouble they've been through is pulling the side together.

"I think they're going to be a team that is competing in the quarters and they're going to be a tough team to beat as well.

"The way things are going, let's hope for a Springbok victory (against Scotland on Saturday), and then it looks like we will meet them (Wales) in the quarter so they're going to be a tough team to beat.

"They're getting a lot of self-belief and are a team that looks very much together and playing as a unit."
