Cape Town - Adam Whitelock has become the second of Canterbury's four high-profile brothers to sign an offshore contact.
According to the ESPNScrum website, Whitelock, 27, will leave for Top 14 side Bayonne at the end of the
provincial season.
He has signed a two-year contract, with the option
of extending it for another year.
Whitelock made his Canterbury debut in 2008 and first played for the Crusaders a year later, going on to earn 55 Super Rugby caps.
Adam played several Crusaders games alongside his three
brothers - All Blacks lock Sam, one-Test flank George and
former junior All Blacks captain, Luke.
George left in June to begin a
contract in Japan.
