Cape Town - Western Province have claimed the bragging rights against the Cell C Sharks XV in a fiercely contested coastal derby win of 32-12 (half-time 22-7) held at the City Park Stadium, Cape Town on Saturday.

Eightman Rayn Smid gave Province an early lead with flyhalf Jean-Luc du Plessis missing the conversion.
