Cape Town - Heinrich Brüssow will make his return to the playing field at No 8 when Free State's Vodacom Cup side tackle Western Province at City Park (16:00 kick-off) on Saturday.
Brüssow, 27, last week joined up with his team-mates in Bloemfontein after returning from his duties in Japan.
He has not played for the the last three months though after injuring his toe playing for his club, the Docomo Red Hurricanes.
Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské was reluctant rush Brüssow straight back into the Super Rugby team and therefore asked Vodacom Cup coach Rory Duncan to pick him.
Drotské said Brüssow - who is more accustomed to playing flank - would get 40-50 minutes against WP.
