Tank interviews Mark Keohane

Cape Town - Tank Lanning’s guest on the Front Row Grunt show on www.2oceansvibe.com on Wednesday was award winning rugby writer, author and former Springbok Communications Manager, Mark Keohane.

Founder of Keo.co.za, now an online partner to SA Rugby magazine. Instrumental in the launch of Business Day Sports Monthly, and now a columnist. He exposed the Andre Markgraaff racist scandal in 1997 that had Markgraaff fired as Bok coach, and also exposed the infamous Kamp Staaldraad in 2003 and the Geo Cronje/Quinton Davids racism within the Bok squad, which had Rudolf Straeuli fired. He is the author of SA Rugby Uncovered.

Tank and Mark had a proper discussion around how Mark got into the sports writing game, how he moved across to work for SARU under Harry Viljoen, Mark’s take on sports writing awards, the Kings, and how they have been brought into South African rugby. Mark was also very open with regard to his involvement, or lack thereof, in the franchise, and how his ex-company, HSM, are handling the representation of Luke Watson and other players …
