The Pretoria-based franchise announced the signing of the winger on a two-year deal on Tuesday afternoon.

Ismaiel represented the Bulls at every level, with the 27-year-old earning 39 Super Rugby caps and scoring 10 tries before leaving to join English club Harlequins 2018.

White believes it bodes well for the team that players of calibre such as Ismaiel see value in re-joining the team, and is looking forward to working with him once rugby returns after the coronavirus pandemic has passed.

"Travis is a quality player that I believe has unfinished business in Super Rugby and beyond, so it is great to see him returning to Loftus Versfeld."

White says that Ismaiel will help bring attacking impetus to the Bulls.

"He has a knack for finding the try line and has scored some scintillating tries for us in the past so I'm looking forward to working alongside him," said White.

White has signed several high-profile former Springboks since taking charge at the Bulls including wing Gio Aplon, prop Marcel van der Merwe and flank Arno Botha.

In addition, the Bulls also recently signed Cheetahs lock Walt Steenkamp and Western Province hooker Schalk Erasmus and unveiled former Stormers forwards coach Russell Winter as their new assistant coach.
